Yoga for Living With Loss

NAVIGATING OUR LOSSES WITHOUT GETTING LOST

I wrote Yoga for Living with Loss to support anyone on their grieving journey. Combining gentle yoga postures, exploration of the chakras, guided breathwork, and mindful reflection, the practice offers practical tools to ease stress, restore balance, and cultivate resilience.

Grounded in compassion and evidence-informed approaches, it provides a safe framework for physical, emotional, and spiritual healing.

Yoga for Living with Loss explores the chakras, the body’s subtle energy centers, that illuminate where and how grief may be held, and to release that tension through breath and movement. Yoga for Living with Loss is about navigating our losses without getting lost.

Yoga for Living with Loss Video Series

....to Accompany the Book
I am delighted, honored, and humbled to be able to offer to you, and all of us on our personal grieving journey, my new video series,
Yoga for Living with Loss.™. I met my father’s passing 17 years ago just as I was beginning my own yoga journey. When my mother passed 11 year ago, I was able to find a source of comfort in my yoga study.
In 2015, my most devastating losses of my best friend of 40 years followed by the passing of my fantastic, big sister a few months later, my yoga practice held a space for me of grief, presence, solace, stillness, and movement. I was then motivated to share what I have, and continue to learn, about the truly never-ending grieving process. The synergy of my passion for the study and practice of yoga, the journey of grief from the passing of my loved ones, a job loss, life’s many transitions, and my desire (Divine intervention?) to help others led to my creating
Yoga for Living with Loss.™.

Yoga for Living with Loss.™
is based on exploring how the grieving process impacts our physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies represented by our seven main chakras, the spinning wheels of subtle energy we all contain. Grief is such an emotional and mental energy, that our grief can become congested in our physical bodies. Through a variety of breathing practices, gentle yoga movements, a deeper understanding of how our bodies react to grief, an examination of our specific chakras, meditation, and our need for connection to others, Yoga for Living with Loss helps us to navigate our losses without getting lost.

Yoga for Living with Loss.™
is a series of seven 45-minute videos, one for each chakra, that offer acknowledging our grief, breath, movement, specific chakra teachings, mediation, finding a sense of ease, and more.

I invite you to watch this free introduction and hope you will bring this series into your own private space to support you in your own grieving journey. The one-time fee for the
Yoga for Living with Loss Video Series is $140. Once you own Yoga for Living with Loss.™, you will be able access it at your convenience now and in the future. You will also be invited to join a private zoom group for discussion and support once a week.

Please contact me for any comments, questions, or discussion.
Thank You!

About the Author:

Sheena Nancy Sarles  is a life long student of well-being, a certified Yoga teacher, and a world wide presenter of her created and curated Yoga for Living with Loss™. The losses of her parents, sister, and best friend led her to integrate her yoga practice with her grief.  From grief workshops in writing and loss, it became apparent that while grief breaks our hearts, and clouds our thoughts, it also congests in our bodies. She was asked to create a yoga class for healing grief, however, she deeply understands that grief is not healed. We learn to live with our grief.

Sheena created Yoga for Living with Loss using the foundation of the chakrahs, energy centers in our bodies, to bring yoga to the bereaved. She continues to study with many teachers internationally to study the healing relationship of our bodies, minds, and spirits.
