Drawing from nine years of teaching Yoga for Living with Loss classes, Sheena offers gentle, accessible practices for emotional balance and spiritual renewal.

“Grief changes us — but it doesn’t have to define or diminish us. Through yoga, we can learn to live with loss as part of life’s rhythm, finding peace, breath by breath.”

Author Q&A

What inspired you to write this book?
I wrote Yoga for Living with Loss after witnessing how yoga helped me and my students live with grief — not by escaping it, but by breathing through it. Yoga offers a space to be with our pain, gently and truthfully.

How does yoga support those who are grieving?
Grief affects both body and mind. Yoga connects the two through breath and awareness, giving shape to what feels unspeakable and allowing healing to begin.

What message do you hope readers will carry away?
That loss is not an end, but a transformation. We can live with loss and still remain whole, alive, and open to love.
